Iran and Germany have signed six memoranda of understanding in the transportation sphere.
The documents were signed by Iran’s Minister of Transport Abbas Akhondi and Germany’s Federal Minister of Transport and Digital Infrastructure Alexander Dobrindt in Tehran, IRNA news agency reported October 23.
Akhondi said on the sidelines of his meeting with Dobrindt that a German company has bid in a tender for the completion of two ports in Chabahar special zone.
“We are also in talks with Siemens on railway development in suburban Tehran, suburban Tabriz, and Tehran-Tabriz railway,” he noted.
Iran and Germany in early October signed 10 MoUs when Vice Chancellor and Minister of Economy and Energy Sigmar Gabriel travelled to Tehran with a delegation of 120.
