International Antonio Cassano has signed a five-year contract with Serie A side Sampdoria, who last summer welcomed him from Real Madrid on a loan basis, dpa reported.

Repubblica.it reported Thursday that the talented striker, who turns 26 in July, will earn 2.8 million euros (4.3 million dollars) per season.

The club from Genoa acquired the player's full ownership at no cost, but are to pay Real 7 million euros in case they sell him this summer, or 5 millions for a sale in the next three years.

The player's contract includes a rescission fee of about 20 millions for any club willing to buy him from Samp before 2013.

AC Milan, meanwhile, have secured Marco Borriello, another international striker they had loaned to Genoa, who received 7.5 millions from the Devils.

Borriello, who turns 26 in three weeks, closed the season as third best scorer on 19 goals. Like Cassano, he vies for a spot in Italy's attack package at Euro 2008 with Juventus's veteran Alessandro Del Piero, the Serie A top scorer on 21 goals.

At Milan, Borriello takes the place of Alberto Gilardino, also soon to turn 26, who earlier this week transferred to Fiorentina for 14 millions.
