Pakistan on Saturday lodged a protest over the firing by Indian troops along the Line of Control, local newspaper The News reported.
The News quoted sources as saying that Indian troops fired on Pakistani post near Chakothi in Pando sector of Line of Control and was retaliated by Pakistan, Xinhua reported.
Commanders of Pakistan army contacted with Indian counterparts on local hot line and lodged protest, according to The News.
Earlier, India accused Pakistan of violating a truce agreement by firing "indiscriminately" at the Indian side of the Line of Control Friday night, injuring one Indian soldier.
The Indian army returned fires at the Line of Control (LoC) in Uri sector 100 kilometers north of Srinagar in India-controlled Kashmir, the Indian army said.
