BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 16. The number of passengers arriving at Türkiye's Adana International Airport increased by 22 percent to 4.7 million in December 2023, Trend reports, referring to the statement of Turkish Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure.
According to the ministry, in December 2023, the airport's passenger turnover on domestic flights increased by 19 percent to 3.8 million people, and on international flights - by 36 percent (878,439 people).
The airport's cargo turnover in December 2023 was 49,198 tons, an increase of 10 percent compared to the same period in 2022. Moreover, in December 2023, the airport's cargo turnover for domestic flights rose by 10 percent compared to the same period in 2022 to 36,311 tons, and for international flights increased by 10 percent compared to the same period to 12,888 tons.
Information indicates that the number of flights operated from the airport in December 2023 increased by 6 percent compared to the same period in 2022 and amounted to 46,791. At the same time, the number of flights performed on domestic routes increased by 7 percent, reaching 39,274, while the number of flights performed on international routes increased by 2 percent to 7,517.
Passenger traffic in December 2023 at all airports in Türkiye amounted to 214 million people, and cargo turnover - 4.2 million tons.
Meanwhile, in 2022, passenger traffic at all airports in Türkiye amounted to 181.9 million people, and cargo turnover - 4 million tons.
