The first European Games in Baku became a good experience, British female acrobatic gymnast Jennifer Bailey told Trend June 19.
"I am sure that the European Games will contribute to the development of sports," she said.
She went on to add that such competitions are important for every athlete. "Azerbaijan organized European Games at a high level, all conditions for the athletes have been created," she said.
Bailey also said that the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku meets the high standards.
Another British female acrobatic gymnast Josephine Russell said that European Games are very important for her career. "This is a good opportunity for us, we got a good experience," she said.
"Azerbaijan has made a positive impression on us. We hadn't have time to walk around the city yet, but we plan to explore Baku after the competitions."
Another British female acrobatic gymnast Cicely Irwin said that she agrees with the opinion of her teammates.
They also said that there are fine gymnasts in Azerbaijan.
All three athletes have expressed their satisfaction with the conditions created in the Athletes' Village and the National Gymnastics Arena.
The European Games kicked off in Baku June 12 and will last till June 28. There is a total of 20 sports at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and four non-Olympic sports.
More than 6,000 athletes from across Europe came to Baku to represent their nations over 17 days of competition. Baku was awarded the games by the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in December 2012.
