Azerbaijan, Baku, 2 December / Trend , corr. A.Huseynbala / Over the past ten months of 2008, 2,369 people (61.6%) who were under search have been arrested.
"Some 95 accused people who hid in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and other foreign countries were arrested in the past ten years of 2008," General Mayor Emin Shekinski, chief of head crime and search department of the Interior Ministry of Azerbaijan, said on 2 December.
The department chief said that during this period, the law-enforcement agencies of the CIS countries determined the places of 94 searched people.
"During the year, 70.2% of the missing people was determined. The number of the missing people reduced by 12.9% as compared to 2007," Shekinski said.
