Azerbaijan, Baku, Jan. 6/ Trend , U. Sadigova/ Pressure by international organizations can help to resolve armed conflict in Gaza by political means. However, it will not contribute to solving problems related rights of the Gaza population.

"The UN human rights high commissioner had already expresser the deep concern over it and have recently issued the clear statement saying that international law according to the civilians must be the respected" Fattah Azam, official of the UN High Commissariat on Human Rights in Middle East, told Trend in a telephone conversation from Beirut.

The UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon called for an immediate end for the conflict between Israeli army and Hamas in Gaza. However, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert announced that military offensive targeted against Hamas will last as long as necessary. Following air strikes, Israel launched land offensive in Gaza Jan 3. The death toll climbed 550 people with women and children accounting for great part of it, BBC quoted Palestinian doctors as saying.

The problem for the international pressure is to resolve the political decision and the part of this conflict both Israeli and the other part -HAMAS to stop the conflict which is the political decision. But the international pressure can only continue as the international pressure by the UN security council to enforce or to demand the ceasefire, Azam said.

"The decision to open the borders, to stop the fire and to enforce the ceasefire and it must be done on the political level" Azam said.
