Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulation letter to Rome Pope Benedict XVI, AzerTag news agency reported.
The president congratulated the Rome Pope on the coronation day.
Ilham Aliyev hoped development of friendship and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Vatican will contribute to restore universal values, mutual understanding and solidarity amongst people.
