Georgian Parliament approves new ambassadors to Greece and Romania

The Georgian Parliament approved the candidacies of new ambassadors to Greece and Romania on Tuesday.

President of Georgia introduced his nominees David Bakradze to Greece and Ilia Giorgadze to Romania to the parliament's approval.

David Bakradze was born on Dec.30, 1975 in Tbilisi. he graduated the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University with a major of "International economic relations" in 1997 and "Jurisprudence" in 2001.

He was the Senior Advisor to the Georgian Embassy in Sweden and Finland from 2008 till 2010. He served as the Senior Advisor to the Georgian Embassy in Sweden from 2011 till 2011.

Bakradze is the Senior Advisor to the Georgian Embassy in Finland since July, 2011 and Charge d'Affaires since August, 2011.

Ilia Giorgadze was born in Tbilisi on Nov. 8, 1976. He graduated the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University with major of "International law" in 1996.

He worked as the Senior Advisor to the Georgian Embassy in Austria and Hungary and in the Permanent Mission of Georgia to OSCE and international organizations which are situated in Vienna from 2006 till 2009.

Giorgadze is the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Austria and in the Permanent Mission of Georgia to OSCE and international organizations in Vienna since 2009.

The candidates were interviewed in the committees of the legislative body before they pass approval at the parliament.
