BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 21. The average monthly nominal wage of employees in Azerbaijan grew in 2022, the State Statistics Committee told Trend.
According to the committee, this indicator amounted to 839.4 manat ($493.7), up by 14.7 percent on annual basis.
The wage in the oil and gas sector equaled 3,415.3 manat ($2,009), and in the non-oil and gas sector – 790.2 manat ($464.8). The wages of employees of state-owned enterprises stood at 794.9 manat ($467.59), and those of private enterprises – 889 manat ($522.9).
The highest wages were recorded among workers in the mining sector, insurance and finance, information and communications fields, as well as in scientific and technical activities.
