BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 15. There has been a deficit in the state budget of Azerbaijan since the beginning of the year, Trend reports.
According to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, the revenues of the state budget of Azerbaijan exceeded 20.4 billion manat ($12 billion) from January through August 2023, which is 1.2 percent more than in the same period last year.
State budget expenditures reached 20.6 billion manat ($12.1 billion), which is 13.8 percent higher than in the period from January through August 2022.
In addition, the state budget had a deficit of 218 million manat ($128.2 million) at the end of July 2023.
The nominal GDP of Azerbaijan in the specified period amounted to 80.1 billion manat ($47.1 billion).

Meanwhile, the state budget revenues of Azerbaijan increased by 16.2 percent, reaching 30.6 million manat ($18 million), in 2022.
The budget expenditures last year increased by 16.7 percent and amounted to 32 million manat ($18.8 million) compared to 2021. Thus, a budget deficit of 1.3 million manat ($760,000) was formed.
