BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 17. Products worth 185.3 million manat ($109 million) were manufactured in the fields of chemical industry, pharmaceutical products, rubber, and plastic bulk products in Azerbaijan in January of this year.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistics Committee indicates that compared to January of the previous year, the manufacturing of chemical industry products increased by 35.9 percent, pharmaceutical products by 30.2 percent, and rubber and plastic mass products decreased by 3.7 percent.
The manufacturing of polyethylene from chemical industry products increased by 30.3 percent, the production of propene (propylene) by 26.6 percent, the production of ethylene by 19.1 percent, the production of urea by 3.6 percent, the manufacturing of plastic bottles, vials, and similar products from rubber and plastic mass products 3.0 times, manufacturing of other plastic construction products 2.3 times, production of other plastic bags and bags except for polyethylene 2.2 times, excluding porous plastic mass the production of plates and plates by 95.6 percent, and the production of plastic rods, rods, and profiles by 67.7 percent.
