A temporary administration was established in Ukrprombank, one of the biggest Ukrainian banks, the bank said.
The temporary administration was established on Jan. 21, and Alexander Maydanyuk was appointed the temporary administrator, according to the information.
"The purpose of temporary administration establishment is to protect interests of creditors and investors, to ensure safety of capital and assets, stabilize activity, improve financial state of the bank," the message says.
Ukrprombank LLC was registered in 1989.
Bank's assets as of Oct. 1, 2008 totaled 14.646 billion hryvnia ($1 - 7.7 hryvnia), liabilities - 13.037 billion hryvnia, own capital - 1.609 billion hryvnia, authorized capital - 1.26 billion hryvnia.
Before the temporary administration, shareholders of the bank were ABC LLC with share holding in amount of 34%, KB Naftoviy LLC - 32%, Ukrpromservis LLC - 34%.
