The Azerbaijani non-banking loan organization TBC Credit joined the international campaign on clients' protection. The campaign is conducted by the Center for Financial Inclusion, the company said.
"The campaign on protection of the clients started in the spring of 2009 by a coalition of financial institutions worldwide in order to protect customers from low-income from unfavorable financial services, and provide them with loyal service," the message said.
The campaign includes 6 principles for the protection of clients, such as: the prevention of excessive debt, transparent and objective pricing loyal to the system of collecting debts, ethical attitudes, established a mechanism to eliminate complaints and confidentiality of customer data.
TBC Credit was acquired in late 2007 (75 percent participation) by the Georgian TBC Bank. Some 25 percent of stakes belongs to the American Shorebank.
