A Taxpayers' Registration Office was established under the Baku City Tax Department to improve the quality of taxpayer services and increase use of modern standards and technologies in the tax authorities' activities, Deputy Tax Department Head Fariz Samedov said.
"The new administration will deal with the registration of non-profit institutions, branches and departments of legal persons, individuals and deregistration, development of amendments to the tax accounting data not included in the state registration of commercial structures, issuance of duplicate certificates to open bank accounts, registration and deregistration of VAT payers, cash registers, issuance of registration certificates for them, filling and removal of seals, " Samedov said.
The new administration consisting of three divisions - accounting, coordination and organization of accounting, will provide services to taxpayers in Baku's 11 districts.
"The administration has all necessary conditions to meet modern standards. A special Internet-kiosk was installed to ensure submission of e- application for registration of taxpayers," he added.
Samedov said the creation of this office will contribute to improving the quality of service with the use of modern technology.
