Uzbekistan and Jordan have signed an agreement on mutual assistance in customs affairs, the Uzbek State Customs Committee reported.
The document was undersigned by Uzbek State Customs Committee Chairman Zohid Dusanov and Jordanian Ambassador to Uzbekistan Mahmoud Ahmad Ajlouni.
The agreement stipulates the calculation of customs duties, taxes and other payments between the two countries, as well as ensuring that customs tariffs are defined correctly during goods exports and imports.
In addition, the Uzbek Industry Chamber and Jordanian Businessmen Association signed an agreement to expand ties with leading firms and companies in Jordan and Uzbekistan.
The agreement pays special attention to cooperation in small business and entrepreneurship.
The parties also agreed to exchange information about features and benefits in these areas, familiarize entrepreneurs with the laws of the two countries on economics, investment and trade, and hold joint business forums.
