Azerbaijani State Architecture and Urban Planning Committee prepares a draft of the detailed plan of the center of Baku for approval, the Committee Deputy Chairman Dovletkhan Dovletkhanov told Trend on Friday.
"Work over the draft has been completed and coordinated with a number of organizations.
We are now preparing a package of documents to submit to Baku City Executive Power for approval. Some commentaries were made during coordination of the draft with other institutions, which were included in the final drawing. I believe that within one or two weeks, we will submit this package for approval," Dovletkhanov said.
The detailed plan of the center of the capital covers the period until 2030.
According to Dovletkhanov, the plan covers an area of approximately 1,500 hectares from the Amay Shopping Center to the National Flag Square across and from the Seaside Boulevard to Bakikhanov Street down.
"We work closely with the Transport Ministry to introduce intellectual transport management system, and therefore we submitted the draft to the ministry as well," Dovletkhanov said.
