In January 2013, Azerbaijan imported about 452 lorries, or 22.2 percent more than the same period of 2012, Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee told Trend today.
According to the State Statistics Committee, the total cost of lorries imported into the country in January amounted to $5.43 million, which is 67.4 percent more than in January 2012.
Last year, Azerbaijan imported 9432 lorries, or 52.7 percent more than in 2011. Total cost of imported trucks is $213.4 million, or 45.6 percent more than in 2011.
Also, the country imported 94 units of buses in January, or 44.6 percent more than in January 2012. The total cost of imported buses amounted to $4.2 million, or 16.6 percent more than the same period of last year.
In 2012, the country imported 1038 units of busses, or 58.5 percent more that in 2011. The total cost of imported busses amounted to $ 49.88 million, exceeding the figure for 2011 by 88.1 percent.
