The average US dollar rate in the morning session of the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) on Oct. 16 amounted to 367.63 tenge, Kazakh media reported.
Thus, the national currency of Kazakhstan has strengthened by 3.06 tenge against the US dollar compared to the morning session of yesterday (370,69 tenge per US dollar).
According to KASE, at the auction of the US dollar in the morning session, the minimum rate was 367,30 tenge per US dollar and the maximum rate was 368,20 tenge, while the closing rate was 367,35 tenge per US dollar.
The US dollar trading volume amounted to $40.8 million, while the number of currency transactions totaled 88.
Meanwhile, the official rate by the National Bank of Kazakhstan on Oct. 16 is 369.98 tenge per US dollar. In the exchange offices of Astana and Almaty, the maximum selling rate of the US currency is 370 tenge.
