Twenty-five water and electricity projects have been launched in five provinces of Iran, Trend reports citing IRINN.
The total amount of these projects is estimated at 71.7 trillion rials (about $1.7 billion).
The projects are to be implemented in Hormuzgan, Tehran, Bushehr, Sistan and Baluchestan, and Fars provinces.
Iran's Energy Minister Reza Ardakanian participated in the ceremony of launching the projects via video conference.
In total, 227 water and electricity projects have been commissioned in the country in the current Iranian year (began March 21, 2019), the report said.
Implementation of the 227 projects in the water and electricity sectors totaling to 330 trillion rials (about $7.85 billion) commenced in all 31 provinces in the second half of the current Iranian year, in late September 2019.
