BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 16. A total of 74 containers with aluminum products were exported to Türkiye from Azerbaijan, Trend reports referring to the ADY Container LLC.
According to the company, the batch of aluminum products manufactured in Ganja has been sent to the Turkish city of Istanbul.
"The export products will be delivered to Türkiye by a block train consisting of 74 containers within the TURKUAZ project via the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway. The total weight of the cargo exceeds 2,000 tons," said the company.
In accordance with the memorandum signed between ADY Container LLC and "Azeraluminum" LLC, 866 containers have been transported since the beginning of 2022, and in particular, 486 containers have been transported on the Azerbaijan-Türkiye route, 204 containers on the Türkiye-Azerbaijan route, and 176 containers on the China-Azerbaijan route.
"About 7,000 TEU containers in 20-foot equivalent were transported between Azerbaijan and Türkiye within the TURKUAZ project since February 2022," said the company.
It was also noted that 37 percent more cargo was transported along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route from January through November 2022 than in the same period of 2021.
