Azerbaijan, Baku, 15 February / Trend corr S. Aliyev / Currently gas-holders in Azerbaijan contain some 550mln cu m of gas, the Azerigaz CJSC said.
Azerbaijan extracts some 7.5mln cu m of gas from the gas-holders per day. This year over 1bln cu m of gas was pumped into the underground gasholders. This gas is intended to supply the subscribers in the autumn-winter period of 2007- 2008. In the same period of 2006- 2007, a total of 1.024bln cu m was pumped into the gas-holders.
There are 2 underground gas-holders in Azerbaijan, namely Garadag and Kalmaz.
