A feasibility study for the Euro-Asian Oil Transport Corridor (EAOTC) project will be presented in Brussels next week, Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko said at a news conference in Kiev.
He noted that several presidents will attend the presentation.
The Granherne company commenced the EAOTC feasibility study after an order from the Sarmatia international pipeline enterprise. Preliminary results were discussed at the Baku energy forum.
"It is political manipulation to block any project using the Odessa-Brody pipeline working in reverse regime to deliver Caspian oil to Europe," Yushchenko said.
There is currently Caspian oil in the Black Sea area that can be transported via the pipeline, Yushchenko said. He said two Ukrainian oil refineries are prepared to purchase 4.5-5 million tons of Caspian oil. He added that there is also a demand for the raw material in the Czech Republic.
