Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has ordered to create a deep oil refining complex on the basis of the Atyrau oil refinery.
Nazarbayev announced the order in his annual address to the nation at a joint meeting of the chambers of the Kazakh parliament on Friday.
"It is necessary to create the complex worth $1.7 billion, which will increase gasoline production three times to 1.7 million tons," he said.
