Azerboru JSC (Sumgayit tube-rolling mill) resumed pipe production for oil industry after 8-year interruption, Akif Zeynalov, the deputy head of the Sumgayit Executive Power, told Trend. According to Zeynalov, the first contract on oil pipe delivery to foreign market was concluded with Russian Sibneft.
Preliminary delivers to Russia were in the amount of 1,000 tons. The sides hold negotiation on expansion of the amount. Besides, Azerboru concluded a contract with Kazakh Company in the amount of 2,000 tons.
Azerboru plans to manufacture 15,000 tons of gas pipes in 2006 in order to restore gas economy in the country.
The plant had imported rolled material from Ukraine and Russia.
