Uzbeks cashed over 5.9 trillion soums ($ 697.203 million) at local ATMs in January-March 2019, Trend reports with reference to the United Republican Processing Center (ERPC).
The number of cash withdrawals through ATMs was 11.3 million units for 5,939,327 trillion soums. The number of transactions on POS-terminals exceeded 131.9 million units for 15 166 740 trillion soums.
In general, according to the EOPC, the number of e-commerce transactions in the first quarter of 2019 was 73.8 million units, which is 1.69 million more compared to the fourth quarter of 2018 (an increase of 2.3 percent), when 72.1 million transactions were recorded.
The total amount of e-commerce transactions exceeded 2,516,316 trillion soums, which is 499.3 billion soums (an increase of 24.8 percent) more than the result for the fourth quarter of 2018, when the figure was 2.017 trillion soums.
The number of plastic cards issued in the first quarter was 1,052,816 units.
The results of statistical data determined the top three among banks by the number of plastic cards issued in the first quarter of 2019.
Xalq banki holds the leading position in the number of cardholders (188,424), Agrobank is in second place (183,863) and completes the top three leaders of Ipoteka Bank (133,855).
To date, the number of Uzcard plastic cards connected to the SMS informing service are 9,611,430 units.
