Azerbaijan’s banks are focusing more on solutions for protection against targeted attacks, Mushfig Mammadov, official representative of Kaspersky Lab in Azerbaijan, told Trend.
“Over the past year, banks began to actively improve protection and pay more attention to information security. Banks started to use complex solutions for protection against targeted attacks. This year we implemented a number of pilot projects on the application of Kaspersky Anti-Targeted Attack Platform in banks. Now we are negotiating full-scale introduction of these solutions,” he noted.
A source in Azerbaijan’s information security market has earlier said that the financial market regulator gave instructions to banks to ensure effective protection of their information systems.
Banks failing to comply with the instructions will be subject to penalties, according to the source.
