Implementation of the project to create the ASAN.net information system is not on the agenda and it is not expected in the near future, the ASAN Innovation Center told Trend.
The project’s details were studied and at this stage, its implementation is not considered as cost-effective.
“However, creation of the ASAN.net information system may become relevant in the future,” the Center said.
The project for creation of the ASAN.net information system was initiated by the Azerbaijan Internet Forum (AIF) in late 2016 and submitted to the Data Processing Center of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of Azerbaijan. The ASAN Innovation Center became the last instance where the project was sent.
The ASAN.net project envisaged the creation of a platform for using the “single window” principle when choosing internet service providers. It envisaged the possibility of choosing an internet service provider, changing the provider or tariff plan, connecting to additional internet services through a single information resource.
