President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev considers that authorities of Astana should focus at development of capital infrastructure. Such opinion he expressed today at the akimat session in Astana, devoted to social-economic development of the capital, Kazakhstan Today reports.
"We have done the basic, what the capital requires, all infrastructure has been built, all governmental and legislative structures are located here, the center of the city has been built up, thus, all what is required for a person exists," N. Nazarbayev said.
"However, the life does not stop and moves forward, and at this period we should concentrate on improvement of that infrastructure which is underdeveloped," he emphasized.
The head of the state reminded that the new capital of the republic "provides with employment not only citizens of our country from all oblasts, but also our neighbors on Central Asia - Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan." "They worked here and indirectly we helped our neighbors," N. Nazarbayev said, implying construction of new capital.
