BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 9. A meeting was held between Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev and Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Batyr Atdaev, during the visit of the delegation under his leadership to the Uzbek city of Tashkent, Trend reports citing the Turkmen Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for implementation of the program of trade and economic cooperation and the development of industrial cooperation for 2022-2025 between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
At the same time, they considered the possibility of holding the 17th meeting of the joint Turkmen-Uzbek commission on trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation until the end of 2022.
The sides noted that the increase in the number of joint projects in the agricultural, construction, textile and pharmaceutical industries gave impetus to the discussion of further strengthening of investment cooperation between the two countries.
Furthermore, the parties expressed interest in the joint production of passenger cars, agricultural and household appliances in Turkmenistan, and also discussed the expansion of transport and logistics ties, including stimulating the transit of goods through the territory of the two states and the organization of pilot transportation along international transport corridors using the capabilities of seaports.
