ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, December 29. Livestock farms in the Lebap region of Turkmenistan produced about 133,700 tons of meat (in live weight) since the beginning of this year, Trend reports.
During the reporting period, the region's farms also produced 553,000 tons of milk and 217 million eggs, most of which were produced in private farms.
This is directly related to the fact that favorable conditions have been created for agricultural producers in the country, and they receive broad support from the state.
In general, the Lebap region currently contains about 2.48 million sheep and goats, 527,900 cattle, 3.91 million poultry and 5,600 camels.
At the moment, Turkmenistan is doing a lot of work on the development of animal husbandry, increasing the number of livestock, manufacturing meat and dairy products, and strengthening the feed base of the industry. The improvement of local livestock enterprises continues.
