TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, January 19. The trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Brazil amounted to $417.3 million from January through November 2024.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's Statistics Agency shows that this is 49.5 percent less compared to the same period last year ($624.1 million in January-November 2023).
Brazil has secured a position within the upper echelon of Uzbekistan's trading partners, ranking among the top 20 entities in terms of bilateral commerce.
Uzbekistan's exports to Brazil reached a valuation of $11.7 million. This figure has decreased by 185.3 percent on an annualized basis, amounting to $4.1 million in January-November 2023.
At the same time, the import metrics from Brazil to Uzbekistan reached an impressive $405.5 million, reflecting a substantial decrease of 52.9 percent relative to the $620 million recorded in the preceding fiscal year.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's aggregate foreign trade volume reached $59.4 billion, reflecting an uptick of 3.6 percent on a year-over-year basis, compared to $57.3 billion in January-November 2023.
