Iran expanding with export of meds to fight COVID-19

Iran has progressed in manufacturing of goods related to fighting COVID-19, 50 days after the pandemic outbreak, despite sanctions said Iran Health Minister Saeed Namaki, Trend reports via IRNA.

"Decline of oil sale revenuea has affected various economic sectors, as well as the health sector," he said.

"The health sector has started to prepare for the pandemic in February, as well as issued health protocols, since we couldn't just shut down the entire sector," he said.

"The Oil Ministry was one of the structures that fully followed the instructions, while the petrochemical companies have started to produce masks. So now Iran can be considered one of the exporters for anti-coronavirus goods on a global scale," Namaki said.

"The country's oil regions have followed the anti-coronavirus protocols, while the connecting road between Parsian Refinery in Fars Province and Asalouyeh has been closed to prevent the spread of the infection," he said.

Meanwhile, Iran's oil ministry has supplied 141 lung ventilators valued $5.2 million to hospitals in oil regions in southern Iran.
