Turkmen ministry announces int'l tender

Kogas announces tender for seismic data processing in Uzbekistan
Korean Korea Gas Corporation (Kogas) has announced an international tender the processing of 2D seismic data on the investment in the Ustyurt block oil and gas region of Uzbekistan.
Under the terms of the tender, the winner must comply with the processing of 430 linear kilometers of old seismic data processing of 2D and 567 line kilometers of new 2D seismic data on the Block 13 - within Uzunkui-Tuarkyrsky investment block in the Ustyurt region.
Applications for participation in the tender are accepted until July 19, and the results will be summed up by late September 2012.
In 2008 Kogas and "Uzbekneftegaz" signed an agreement on joint study of Uzunkui-Tuarkyrsky investment block in the Ustyurt region of Uzbekistan.
The agreement envisages that the Korean company will conduct seismic work by 2D method in the total volume of 1,100 linear kilometers and drilling of two wells within 30 months.
Earlier it was reported that Kogas intends to invest $22 million in exploration work for oil and gas in Ustyurt region of Uzbekistan.
The Korean company has the exclusive right to develop the identified fields within the contract area after fulfilling its obligations under this agreement.
Uzbekistan announces tender to reconstruct national highway section
The Road Fund under the Uzbek Finance Ministry has begun choosing contractors and construction companies to carry out road construction work to reconstruct the Guzar-Chim-Kukdala road (4R87) in the south of the country, the fund said.
According to the information, the fund has applied for a loan from the Saudi Fund for Development to the amount of $20.4 million and the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development for $30 million to implement this project worth $80 million and intends to use some funding for paying for road construction operations. Uzbekistan will allocate $29.6 million to implement the project.
According to the terms of the tender, the winner must carry out the reconstruction of two sections (0 - 18 and 38-73 km) of the Gusar-Chim-Kukdala road with a total length of 53 km by replacing the two-lane asphalt pavement to four-lane, as well as the construction of two bridges and a road junction in Kashkadarya field. The construction period will cover18 months.
Bids will be accepted until July 16. The tender results will be summarised in late September this year.
It is planned to construct and reconstruct roads with a total length of 1500 kilometres by 2015 within the national highway construction programme of the first category worth $2.6 billion. The national highway will stretch from the north-western to the south-eastern border of the country and will connect major cities of the country.
The construction is planned to be financed by the government to the sum of $1.68 billion, a credit line from the Chinese government for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) member states, ADB loans and other international financial institutions.
At present, the total length of Uzbek roads is 146,400 kilometres. About 42,500 kilometres falls to the main highways, including 3200 kilometres of international highways and 18,800 kilometres of roads of national importance. About 20 international transport routes and directions stretch accross Uzbek territory.

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) has announced a tender, one of six lots which envisages purchase of services from organisations for IT courses at the bank.
Other lots of the tender envisage the purchase of a load-lifter and other equipment necessary for the bank, work on setting up the main accounting system as well as customs clearance of goods addressed to the Central Bank and their delivery to the bank.

Azerbaijani state leasing company buys farm machinery
Azerbaijani State Leasing Company JSC Aqrolizinq announced the tender for the purchase of agricultural machinery, tender commission said on Saturday.

Azerbaijan announces investment competition for sale of cannery's shares
The Azerbaijani State Property Committee has announced an investment competition to sell 30.08 percent of shares of JSC "Xudat Konserv", the State Property Committee said in its Mulkiyyet official publication on Monday.
The competition is open to Azerbaijani physical and legal entities and foreign investors. Applicants must submit an investment programme with proposals on resuming the factory's activity.
Applicants must also submit a bank guarantee for five per cent of the value of the investment proposal and the proposal to transfer 120,000 manat to the state budget. Applicant must submit a letter of guarantee of any bank for 40,000 manat to ensure seriousness of intention.
The authorized capital of the enterprise is 2.564.934 million manat as of June 1, 2012. Some 1.282.467 million shares with face value of 2 manat each were issued for this amount. The object of the competition is 385,718 shares of the total nominal value of 771,436 manat.
The company has debts amounting to 20,000 manat, which account for debts on wages. Accounts receivables of the enterprise amount to 84,000 manat.
The enterprise has been operating since 1973. The number of its workers is 6 people.

World Bank announces tender under CAPSAP project in Azerbaijan
The Azerbaijani Finance Ministry announced a tender under Corporate and Public Sector Accountability Project (CAPSAP), funded by the government and the international financial institutions, the Ministry said on Wednesday.
The tender involves the creation of a web-portal for Accounting, Audit Training, Education and Research center (ACPATER). Work is expected to be completed within four months.

The total CAPSAP project cost is $ 24 million. The loan agreement for the project was signed in September 2008. Its implementation will last until the end of December 2012.
The project is financed by a loan from the World Bank in the amount of $ 11 million, grants of the Japanese Fund PHRD ($3 million) and SECO ($2 million) and the share of the Government of Azerbaijan (($8 million).
