Kyrgyz Interior Minister Moldomusa Kongantiyev received a letter of thanks from Turkish Ambassador Serpil Alpman. She thanked law enforcement agencies for solving a crime committed on New Year's Eve, head of the Interior Ministry's press service, Police Colonel Bakit Seitov told Trend .
On Jan. 1, Turkish citizen and student at Manas Kyrgyz-Turkish University Egemen Uzgech was beaten by hooligans in Bishkek, Seitov said. He was taken to the hospital as a result.
The Bishkek Head Interior Department took actions to solve the crime.
The Bishkek Criminal Investigation Department found and detained the suspects.
