Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has been awarded with honorary golden badge of General Confederation of Trade Unions by the resolution signed by the Secretary General of the General Confederation of Trade Unions (GCTU), Vladimir Scherbakov.
The resolution says: "Considering merits before trade-union movement of the Azerbaijani Republic, an invaluable personal contribution, a firm and principled stand in protection of the social and economic rights, interests and freedoms of members of trade unions, increase of the authority of trade unions at the international level, for effective long-term work on preservation and development of the CIS, integration into socio-economic and political spheres and in connection with the 50th jubilee to award with the honorary golden badge "For contribution to the trade union movement" Ilham Aliyev - the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan".
