Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend P.Amirjanov / The Departments of the Interior Ministry of Azerbaijan are continuing operative and investigation measures to fight against the illegal turnover of narcotics, the Ministry reported.
According to information by the Ministry, in the first half year, more than 185 kg drugs have been confiscated from the illegal turnover. In addition, 160 kg drug-linked plants were destroyed. Over the reported period, 520 crimes have been registered with regards to the illegal turnover of drugs and some 1,119 people were sentenced.
