ASTANA, Kazakhstan, November 25. It is planned to double the production capacity at the Shymkent Refinery from 6 to 12 million tons by 2030 in Kazakhstan, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of Kazakhstan Almassadam Satkaliyev said in a report during the government hour in the Mazhilis (lower house) of the Kazakh Parliament, Trend reports.
According to Satkaliyev, an extension of the Atyrau-Kenkiyak and Kenkiyak-Kumkol pipelines will be put into place to guarantee the load of crude oil at the Shymkent Refinery.
Projects at the Pavlodar Refinery are expected to increase winter diesel fuel production by 500,000 tons by 2026. This will raise the capacity of primary oil processing to 6 million tons annually in the first stage.
