BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 22. Snam has announced a dual-track innovation strategy as part of its 2025-2029 Strategic Plan, committing 400 million euros to drive operational excellence and accelerate decarbonized energy solutions, Trend reports.
The investment includes 338 million euros for proven innovation and 62 million euros for explorative initiatives, aimed at integrating advanced digitalization, Artificial Intelligence, and cutting-edge technologies into its operations.
The company’s SnamTEC program, launched in 2018, has been pivotal in improving asset performance, resilience, and operational safety through the adoption of new technologies. Building on this foundation, Snam plans to deploy both existing and emerging technologies to handle various molecules within its infrastructure, further advancing its contributions to system decarbonization.
In a major step forward, Snam is set to unveil its first-ever Innovation Plan in the first half of 2025. The plan will outline the company’s comprehensive innovation strategy, highlight key projects and collaborations, and present a ten-year roadmap for technology development.
