BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 27. The launch of a new television manufacturing plant by Silk Road Electronics in collaboration with Samsung promises significant economic and production benefits for Kazakhstan's local market, Silk Road Electronics told Trend.
In an exclusive statement to the agency, the company emphasized that localizing production will reduce delivery times and improve the availability of Samsung TVs to consumers in the region. However, the company also acknowledged the challenges associated with adapting to new production standards.
"We plan to implement advanced technologies with new equipment, which will enhance assembly precision and product quality. The use of high-quality components and modern control methods at every stage of production will ensure that the products meet Samsung’s global quality standards," the company said.
The company is weighing the option of broadening its product lineup to encompass additional household appliances in light of market demand and anticipated future needs.
Silk Road Electronics has made it clear that they are rolling up their sleeves and getting down to business with workforce training for the new plant, having already struck deals with educational institutions to prepare specialists. By the end of 2027, the company is setting its sights on boosting the number of jobs at the plant to 1,100.
"The launch of Samsung TV production at Silk Road Electronics will strengthen local industrial infrastructure, enhance cooperation with local suppliers and partners, and create opportunities for the development of related industries, such as transportation, logistics, and after-sales services," the company added.
Previously, Samsung Electronics and Silk Road Electronics signed an agreement to produce Samsung's latest television models, including premium lines, to meet the growing demand for high-tech products in Kazakhstan and other Central Asian countries.
