ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, February 17. Some 12 deals were registered at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week, Trend reports.
For foreign currency, business representatives from Afghanistan purchased aviation kerosene produced at the technological facilities of the Turkmennebit State Concern.
Additionally, entrepreneurs from the UAE and Türkiye acquired bedding sets, cotton fabric, and wool for foreign currency. The total value of transactions exceeded $7.97 million.
Meanwhile, compared to the previous year, the number of transactions decreased by nearly three times, while the total transaction value remained at approximately $7.76 million.
Despite a significant reduction in the number of transactions, the total trade volume remained consistent, suggesting a shift toward higher-value deals and possibly indicating rising prices for certain goods.
The State Commodity Exchange of Turkmenistan, founded on July 29, 1994, plays a key role in regulating export-import operations with goods and strengthening economic ties with foreign partners.
