ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 10. Kazakhstan’s Minister of Agriculture, Aidarbek Saparov, held a meeting with Otto Roiss, President of Bauer Group, who announced plans to launch a major project in Kazakhstan, Trend reports.
The initiative aims to localize the production and assembly of advanced agricultural equipment, including water-saving irrigation systems.
“In line with President Tokayev’s directive, efforts are underway to expand irrigated land by 150,000 hectares annually. To achieve this goal, we are keen to adopt modern irrigation technologies,” Saparov said.
He also highlighted the importance of partnering with international companies like Bauer Group to support the development of efficient and sustainable agriculture in Kazakhstan.
Otto Roiss confirmed that the project is ready to move forward.
“Once we determine the region, we’ll begin construction and installation. We plan to start producing several types of sprinkler systems later this year. We also intend to manufacture equipment for water purification and manure processing,” Roiss said.
Minister Saparov expressed the Ministry’s full support for the project and proposed the development of a roadmap to ensure a smooth and successful launch.
