BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 15. As many as 9.3 million tons of oil were transported through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) export pipeline from January through April of this year.
The data obtained by Trend from the State Statistics Committee shows that this indicator decreased by 292,000 tons (three percent) compared to the same period last year (9.6 million tons).
As many as 83 percent (7.73 million tons) of oil transported through the BTC pipeline during the period was oil produced in Azerbaijan, and 17 percent (1.58 million tons) was oil imported from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
