Babayeva/ This year the Azerbaijan State Agency for Standardization, Metrology and Patents is going to sign an agreement on cooperation in the field of standardization, certification, education and other relative fields with the Israel Standardization Institute; an agreement on cooperation in the field of standardization, metrology and conformance evaluation with Lithuania; a MOU on technical cooperation in metrology with the Hungarian Trade License Administration.
In 2007, the State Agency signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of standardization, metrology, conformance evaluation and accreditation with the Belarus State Standardization Committee; an inter-governmental agreement with Tajikistan in the field of standardization, metrology, certification and accreditation; an agreement on cooperation in standardization, metrology, conformance evaluation, accreditation and other relative directions with the Jordan Metrology and Standard Administration.
The agreements enable the sides to recognize each other's certificates on correspondence of goods and expand the cooperation through implementation of joint projects, promote implementation of different programs and projects.
The Azerbaijan State Agency for Standardization, Metrology and Patents was established by the Presidential decree dating to 27 December 2001.
