Trade Ministers of Turkey and Iran will discuss the use of national currency and exclusion of the USD from trade turnover between the two states, the ISNA news agency quoted Iranian Trade Organization Director Mehdi Gazanfari as saying.
"Turkish and Iranian businessmen will pay for trade through lira or rial by using the LC system. This will develop the banking sector of the two states," Gazanfari said at a meeting with Turkish Industrial and Trade Chamber Chairman.
"We will ask the Central Banks of two states to assist businessmen to exclude dollar from trade turnover between the two states," Gazanfari said.
