In 2018, Azerbaijan’s PASHA Bank took the first place in terms of the volume of loans issued in Azerbaijan, Trend reports with reference to the audited report of the bank.
The volume of client loans amounted to 1.731 billion manats, which is 13.7 percent of the total bank loans. In January-December last year, the bank increased the volume of loans by 28.2 percent.
The International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA) with a total volume of loans at 1.674 billion manats (13.3 percent of all loans) ranked second. During the year, the volume increased by 8.5 percent.
Kapital Bank ranked third with the volume of client loans at 1.5 billion manats (11.9 percent of all loans). For 12 months of last year, the amount of loans increased by 23.7 percent.

Last year, the banks increased lending by 11.38 percent, and by the end of the year, the total loan portfolio amounted to 12.628 billion manats. Reserves worth 1.479 billion manats were created for these loans.
