Azeraluminium LLC, one of the biggest export-oriented enterprises of Azerbaijan, exports the products to the US, Canada, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and Switzerland, the company told Trend.
According to the company, 96 percent of its products were sold in foreign markets last year.
"The demand for aluminum products of Azerbaijan is growing from year to year abroad,” the company said. “This year, we plan to increase the production capacity up to 54,000 tons per year to meet the demand both in the local and foreign markets."
About 53,000 tons of primary aluminum were produced in 2020 with a design capacity of 50,000 tons per year.
The end products of the company are aluminum ingots, rolls of hot and cold rolled products, which, at the request of the client, can be sold in the form of rolls, sheets or strips of various sizes.
"Moreover, we also manufacture aluminum spacers that are used in the construction sector," the company said.
The company produced 28,560 tons of aluminum ingots, 10,322 tons of hot rolled rolls, 13,487 tons of cold rolled rolls and 100 tons of aluminum window spacers in 2020.
Azeraluminium LLC is a leading company in the field of non-ferrous metallurgy in Azerbaijan and the only producer of primary aluminum in the South Caucasus. The foundation of the Ganja aluminum complex was laid in March 2008 by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
The complex began the first phase of primary aluminum production with an annual production capacity of 50,000 tons in 2011-2012. The testing process of the manufactured roll products was launched in May 2013. The opening ceremony of the complex was held on January 21, 2014 with the participation of President Aliyev.
