Profit of Azeraluminium LLC exceeded forecasts in 2020, Trend reports with reference to the Azerbaijan Industrial Corporation.
A reporting meeting in the format of a video conference was held in the Azerbaijan Industrial Corporation agro-industrial complex with the participation of the leadership of the central office and subsidiaries, dedicated to the results of 2020 and the upcoming work.
During the meeting, the participants noted that despite the fact that the drop in world prices for aluminum in the first 8 months of the year had a negative impact on the indicators, the enterprise continued to operate at full production capacity and, applying certain optimizations of business processes, was able to get more profit than predicted.
The agro-industrial complex ended 2020 with positive results.
Uninterrupted supply of products, as well as in the process of processing and production, as well as in the provision of services was ensured in the agro-industrial complex.
One of the largest export-oriented enterprises of Azerbaijan, Azeraluminium LLC, plans to increase its production capacity to 54,000 tons per year in 2021. In 2020, the enterprise produced about 53,000 tons of primary aluminum with a design capacity of 50,000 tons per year.
Azeraluminium LLC is a leading company in the field of non-ferrous metallurgy in Azerbaijan and the only producer of primary aluminum in the South Caucasus. The foundation of the Ganja aluminum complex was laid in March 2008 by the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.
The complex began the first phase of primary aluminum production with an annual production capacity of 50 thousand tons in 2011-2012. The testing process of the manufactured roll products started in May 2013. The opening ceremony of the complex took place on January 21, 2014 with the participation of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
