The US provided $37 billion investments in Kazakhstan over 30 years, Trend reports citing Kazakh media.
The mentioned issue was discussed during a regular review meeting of the Commission on Enhanced Strategic Partnership (KSPP) between Kazakhstan and the US, co-chaired by Deputy Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Akan Rakhmetullin and US Assistant Secretary of State Donald Lu.
The main purpose of the meeting was to summarize the results of joint work over the past six months and determine the prospects for further expanding the strategic partnership between the two countries.
US Assistant Secretary of State Donald Lu noted that the US is a reliable partner for Kazakhstan.
“We have been very active in various sectors of the economy, especially in the oil and gas sector. Over these 30 years, we have provided $37 billion in investment. We want to continue to be a partner of Kazakhstan, to participate in the transition to a "green" economy. We want to invest in renewable energy sources - wind, solar energy, hydropower. Our countries have the strongest relations in history,” US Assistant Secretary of State said.
