Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec. 22 / Trend , E.Ismayilov / SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) plans to put into operation a new tank field in the oil and gas producing Oil Rocks field in the next two days, a source said.
Works are being completed, and the tank
field is planned to put into operation to the end of the year. The installation
works are produced in remained two of six reservoirs.
A total of six reservoirs will be in the tank field, one of which is planned to
use for separation of raw material. The volume of each of reservoirs is 2,000
tons, diameter - 15 metres, height - 12 metres.
According to estimations of geologists of SOCAR, the residual volumes of oil in
the Oil Rocks are 30mln tons. SOCAR will drill 78 new wells for an increase of
oil production to 2010. The construction of new platforms is also expected.
